Don Hudson was definitely one of a kind. It was a joy and pleasure to see him at the union hall or at Blue Monday---and nothing, absolutely nothing compared to walking a picket line with Hud!! Brother, you will be sorely missed.

Don was a neighbor, fellow city employee and a friend. No one lived the outdoors and dogs more than he did. I will miss the twinkle in his eyes, his infectious smile, and his funny stories. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

When I think of Don I smile with such great memories of him. Never a dull moment. He spent a lot of time with my family over the years before illness and after. Dan and he we great friends and we would sit around the table laughing at the stories of their adventures to cardinal games and state fair you name it .Also Don never failed to send me beautiful photos of the flowers from bush stadium and we both shared a love for labor retrievers. For that matter all dogs. Don you will be in our hearts forever. Rest In Peace

Don was an awesome friend and neighbor! I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing. We bonded over our love of our dogs and shared many beers together. He was my accomplice in hiding Christmas presents for my daughter. She found all of my hiding spots in my house, so I had to store gifts at his house across the street. He was so much fun and a very protective neighbor. It gave me great comfort knowing he was across the street. I loved listening to his political views. The Democratic Party will greatly miss Don. Rest in peace, my friend.

RIP my friend and brother. You were one unique funny individual. It was a pleasure working with you all those years. You were absolutely the best writer Local #193 ever had for its articles in the IBEW Journal May the ducks always fly and the honey always run off all 4 corners of the biscuit. I know you are holding court in a better place.

Those boat rides in the “Duck Woods” in Arkansas….like you said…”Man, there’s not a ride in Six Flags better than this!” Rest In Peace, my friend. Our prayers go out to the family.

To all of Hud's family you have my sincere condolences. I worked with Don at the power plant and there was absolutely no one on earth that made me laugh as much as Don. He could get on a roll that would have competed with Seinfeld or any other comedian. He and I did a little boating together when he docked his boat at our lake house. If you knew Hud there is no way you could ever forget him and I'm sure I will smile especially when I think back at him telling a story. Rest in eternal peace Hud we who knew you will definitely have very fond memories of you my friend. Until we meet again.
