I have no words to tell how deeply sorry I am after hearing Mr. Mike has passed. I am in shock to hear this news. I remember all those days at Dubois Elementary School we used to spend talking before and after reporting to his crossing guard duties. I would like to mention how much I learned from him and how I will miss his beautiful stories about his amazing wife.

We both worked outside this past blistering cold winter and I remember asking Mr. Mike how can you stand under that tree in the freezing weather? He responded those are Palm Trees and it was 87 degrees:)) From that day on I changed my way of thinking and happily work outside no matter what the temperature. Thank you, Mr. Mike

To the Epright Family - We are so so so saddened to hear of Mike's passing. Your husband and dad was such a nice man. He knew all the children that crossed his path everyday by name and made it a point to know the adults names walking with the children, always had great things to say, and wonderful compliments to everyone. He made our children feel very safe and I know we will all miss seeing him and speaking to such a beautiful man each school day. Our deepest thoughts and prayers as you go through this sad time.

We miss you every day Dad. So sorry we didn’t have the chance to make it to a Cardinals game together or watch a Broncos game together. Thank you for raising an incredible family and for your blessing that I may marry your daughter Angela. I promise to take care of her each day and love her for the rest of my days. I know you be at our wedding in spirit, but I sure wish you could be there to walk Angela down the aisle. Love you and miss you so much.

We are very saddened to hear this about Michael. He was such a sweet soul, kind to all the kids at Dubois. My daughter would always give him fist bumps as she walked across the street and made sure to give him gifts throughout the year. On the last day of school he and I chatted about how this was my daughters last day, as she would be moving up to middle school next year. He told her he would miss seeing her. When I told my daughter the news, you could tell she was shaken by it. Rest easy Michael, you will be missed dearly.
