To Tim, Denise, Mike, Ethan, Janice and Lindsay- I wept as I looked through the pictures. Having a grown son who also has Stage 4 cancer, I could imagine what it must be like to loose someone so vibrant, full of life, and so precious. My hope and prayer is for you all to be enveloped by the love and grace of God, and the encouragement of a coming Eternal Reunion that will make this time just a forgotten terrible dream, as when we awake the morning after a nightmare. May God's love, and your love for one another, and your love of Kristina, make your time of mourning a time of recovery and renewal and peace. God Bless you all.

Dear Janice, Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam. And for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to our world. But then it flies on again, and though we wish it could have stayed, we feel so lucky to have seen it.

I am so sorry for your loss. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. I had the blessing to share memories with Kristina in band and youth group in Mattoon and later on at U of I at the campus house. She was a very strong Christian woman that I looked up to and I learned many life lessons from her. She is truly an angel that I will miss dearly. My prayers will continue for your family.

Kristina was a precious friend to me at a very difficult time in my life. She was vibrant, beautiful, smart, and most of all completely real in who she was. I'm so glad God saw fit to let our paths cross, even for a few fleeting moments.

I have not seen Kristina in years. I remember her mostly from Junior high in Mattoon. She was always a very strong willed, smart, and an overall lovely person. She always had a smile on her face......beautiful!!! My heart goes to your entire family. I am so sorry about your loss and thoughts and prayers will be with your family. Ethan, what a beautiful child to carry on Kristina's great qualities. May God give you all stength and comfort during this time.

I am sorry we cannot attend the visitation but our thoughts and prayers are with you. I first knew Kristina at Broadway Christian Church. She always had a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eyes. She would tell me about a good book she was reading, all at the tender age of 12 or 13. She was close in age to my Josh so I saw her often at youth group activities and later when she attended U of I. She was a special girl and will be sorely missed but I know the angels in heaven are rejoicing at one more that has come home. In Christian love, Stan and Jenny Hagerstrom

I haven't seen Kristina since Sophomore year in high school in Mattoon, IL. We were in band together, in the flute section. A few of my friends on Facebook posted about this, and now that I've read the story and seen her pictures it just totally breaks my heart. As I remember, Kristina was such a sweet person, always willing to help out and be there. It's tragic that this wonderful woman had to be taken away from her family, husband and son. My condolences to the families.

Kristina was one of those students who brighten a classroom. As I got to know her, I was impressed by her wit, perceptiveness, and charm. She always had a sparkle in her eye that made people enjoy being around her. I feel so fortunate to have known her. My deepest sympathies and prayers to her family.

To Kristina's family~ I feel blessed to have known such a wonderful person. Some people never get the opportunity to have such a wonderful daughter, sister, wife or mother. She will be greatly missed and wonderfully remembered. Now is the time for faith and courage. God Bless!

She was a lovely young lady and I enjoyed every moment I spent around her. Her sister is just as much a lovely young lady and their mother is wonderful. "Give sorrow words. The grief that does not speak whispers the o'er-fraught heart, and bids it break.”---Wm. Shakespeare I pray the entire Grosse, Sewell, Cazier family can grieve and share pain together and find comfort in the community that loves them.

The first time I met Kristina she was only a few days old. Grandpa and Grandma Grosse, Nannie , Grandpa Neal, Aunt Angie and I think Uncle Dan were at my house in Springfield to celebrate the family Christmas. We all assumed that Kristina was in the hospital with her mother, Janice. As we were beginning to exchange gifts, the doorbell rang and who was at the door-Janice, Tim and baby Kristina!!! We were so excited because she was the third grandchild and grand daughter in the family. She was the best surprise that Christmas!!!

Mike and Family: We remember the times of being with you and Kristina....Daniel and Elizabeth's wedding, Elizabeth's baby shower, tailgating at U of IL football game, Analise's birthday party, at the Sewells (Kirk and Claudia) in Springfield, and other times. It was always evident of her love of you and family. We'll always remember the sparkle in her eye, her wonderful laugh, and smile of all smiles.
