Condolences for Colleen Colette O’Brien

I'll never forget her infectious laugh - her yell of "hey, Ilene" from across the office whenever I'd dart in with a FedEx package. Our exchange of kitty cat stories! I've forgotten how many different places I have delivered to her over the last 20 plus years - becoming friends in the process. I always did - and always will - think of her and smile. My thoughts are with you all. Ilene

I had the honor of knowing Colleen when we both worked at The Springfield Clinic Eye Shoppe at Montvale. Although we only knew each other for a season, we loved each other and shared many heartfelt talks together. We laughed and cried a lot! I'm so sad the world has lost her. So happy for heaven's gain. Comforted knowing we are eternally linked. She brought sunshine into the room when she entered. She was such a kind, loving soul. May God comfort all who loved her.

Colleen was my older cousin. Whenever our families got together I knew that there would be some good times and laughs. I only remember her with a smile on her face and truly enjoying life. She wad always a ray of sunshine when she came into a room...she still is.

The World lost a very beautiful person this past Thursday. Our friend Colleen. We are very proud to have known her and most grateful that we were able to spend last Thanksgiving with Colleen and her family. Colleen , Thank you for being one of the most kind hearted and caring persons we have ever met. We will miss your fun loving spirit most of all. Thank you for being our friend. We will always remember your smile and your laughter. Although we didn't get to see you as often as we all would have liked to, we want you to know that it was always quality time spent. We will never forget you! Our deepest condolences go out to Judith, Kim and your family. You all are truly in our thoughts and prayers.

Judy, Kim, Tony and family, Colleen will be missed by so many who she touched each and every day. She talked of her family every day, and her family became our family too. Her smile and laughter could light up the room. She was a dear, dear friend and will be missed by me, my family and all of us at Prairie Eye Center. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God wrap his loving arms around you at this time. May you have peace in knowing she is with those she loved in Heaven now and someday we will meet her there. God Bless you!

My sincerest condolences to Judy and the rest of Colleen's family. A wonderful person left this world on August 18th, but God gained a perfect angel. Colleen was a former co-worker of mine, a current co-worker of my mother and one of the most wonderful people that I have ever met. She helped anyone and everyone to the fullest extent that she could. I am deeply saddened that I will not be able to say goodbye to her on Monday because I live in Germany and am not able to fly back on such short notice. However, I will be wearing purple for her in her memory on Monday, as will the rest of her co-workers. and I hope she is smiling down upon us, finding a way to give her great advice through other means now. May God bless her family and her adorable kitties! Nicole M. Schaefer

We will always have fond memories of Colleen; and, she will live on forever in our thoughts, memories and hearts. What a wonderful person she was! And, she was, indeed!, a lover of cats-like us. We do recall that she was very dedicated in her profession; and we know the staff at Prairie Eye Center will miss her tremendously. We will be praying forher as she has reached the point in her faith journey to be with our Holy Father, And, we extend our sympathies to all of her relatives and friends. May the Lord gives us all peace & comfort , and humble our hearts in this time of mourning and remembrance.
