Meg and I worked on an NSF library project for several years and became good friends. With a tight first deadline, we hit the ground running to meet our deadline. In spite of the pressure, we had fun and worked together smoothly. What a pleasure! Over the years, we became good friends. I treasure great memories filled with her smile, her creativity, her organization, and her ability to make calm the path as challenges became fruitful opportunities. She blessed my life. --Chris Walker

Dear Pat and Family, I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Meg's passing. I am still having a difficult time thinking of her as not being there when I call. I just want you to know that Meg had a tremendous impact on the services at Davenport Public Library. She was integral in developing the "Branching Out Project" which has resulted in construction of two branch libraries, the 2nd of which was opened in July 2010. Those libraries will impact the lives of many for years to come. As just one example, our items checked out were about 515,000 in FY2005. This last year with all three facilities, more than 945,000 itmes were checked out. She was a great reference librarian and was a positive example for the staff who worked with her. I will always be grateful for her friendship and kindness to me, and I will miss her.
