Dear Grubbs Family, I am so sorry to hear of Tim's illness and passing. We went to high school together at Schlarman and he was a wonderful, kind person - always had a smile on his face and doing nice things for people. I lost track of him until one year, our kids were attending zoo camp together at Henson Robinson Zoo and we had a chance to catch up. He spoke so lovingly of his family. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Iknow he's smiling at you from heaven.

My condolences and heart goes out to the entire family. Tim was a very good friend since 4th grade when I first moved to Danville. We grew up at St Paul’s and graduated together at SHS. Seems like Roger, Dan and I were stuck to each other’s hips for all those years. Playing basketball at his house, even in the winter. Our make shift baseball games under the carport at St Paul’s and going to Pizza Inn. I was one of the first guys in the crew to get a car at 16, it was big old 4-door Ford, we called her “Amy”. So we would just go driving around “cruising with Amy”, just to hang out. Coming back from Pizza Inn one night, in a heavy rain storm, the streets were flooded and we were about to cross some railroad tracks. Tim is sitting in the back sit and say’s “hey I wonder how deep this water is”… so he opens the door and water comes gushing into my car, literally filling my floor board. I didn’t think he was ever going to get that door shut, LOL. Tim, I love you man, you will always be in thoughts and memories. Thanks for being my friend during our most impressionable years growing up

I remember all of our classes together at Danville Area Community College. We worked at Voorhees Lumber Mart and ran around together. We were a lot of times interested in the same girl , but Tim with his outstanding charm a, good looks and sense of humor, got the girl many times. We were both Democrats at the time-young and idealistic-and the years sort of turned us conservative and Republican. When we graduated he went down to Southern Illinois University and I went to Northern Illinois University. We touched base a few times and I knew he was working for the State of Illinois . He has a very beautiful family. I am so sorry for all of your losses.
