SPRINGFIELD – Wilma J. Barnes Page, 83, of Springfield died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008.
She was born June 13, 1925, in Aurora, the daughter of Oscar Franklin and Mabel J. Wiley Barnes.
Mrs. Page, a resident of Springfield most of her life, worked at Memorial Medical Center in nutrition and nourishment for 13 years.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was very active in the Women’s Democratic Committee and the Sangamon County Democratic Party. She was also a member of Bar-M-Range Riders.
Surviving are three daughters, Karen Learned Deaver (companion, Kurt Maier) of Babylon, N.Y., Judith M. Crain of Osage Beach, Mo., and Susan Christine Kodrich of Springfield; four grandchildren, Matthew Winner, Ryan Page and Todd and Erica Williams; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Olson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Abbey.
