William Robert "Bill" Spring

December 4, 1955 - January 15, 2017

William “Bill” Robert Spring, 61, of Springfield died at 8:39 pm, Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born December 4, 1955 in Springfield to John and Clariece Zimmerman Spring. His mother and one sister, Diane Wilson preceded him in death.

Surviving are his two sons, Brian and Stephen Spring, both of Springfield; father, John of Springfield; one sister, Rose (Jeff) Schlenther of Springfield; three brothers, David (Sue) Spring of Sherman and Loren (Lori) Spring and James (Marilyn) Spring, both of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bill was a resident of Springfield all of his life and a member of Southern View Chapel. He was an employee at Bunn-o-matic for the past 32 years.

Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Friday, January 20, 2017 at Southern View Chapel.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Southern View Chapel with Pastor Gary Gilley officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Bill always had a smile on his face, a kind word, and an upbeat outlook. HIs love for his sons was evident every time he spoke of them. He will be sorely missed. My deepest condolences to the family for their loss.

Wow! Sorry to hear that Bill has passed away. We were leaders of Troop 9 Boy Scouts for several years. Bill lived adventure and helped make our many trips memorable. Sympathy and prayers for Brian and Stephen.

Bill and I worked together with Boy Scout troop 9 in Chatham. We had many great times on scout trips, camping and sking. Bill and I some really great times on those trips along with all the scouts. I will always hold those memories close to my heart. Prayers being sent to the entire family. Monte and Pat Law

I worked with Bill many moons again at Bunn. Such a nice guy and always smiling! My condolences to his family and friends.

Bill had been a client of mine for over 30 years. I had cut his hair for years, as well as , his son, Brian's hair. Bill loved his two sons very much and spoke highly of them at all times. He always had a smile on his face and I never knew him to be upset at anyone or about anything. He loved his work and talked of retiring and traveling with his boys. It is so sad he had to leave all of us at such a young age. He will be sadly missed. May God bless all who loved him.

Bill was a great team player. He always had a positive attitude and saw the best in people. It was a privilege to work with Bill on the Bunn IT team!
