Warren H. Robinson, 76, of Springfield, died at 4:45 pm, Monday, February 11, 2013 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born January 30, 1937 in Jacksonville, to Lee Edgar and Marie Tozer Robinson. He married Annabel Limper on May 23, 1964 and she survives.
His parents; one son, Roy; daughter-in-law, Janet Robinson; three brothers, Howard, George and Raymond; one sister, Elsie Jones and one grandson David Van Horn preceded him in death.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Marty Robinson of Dawson, Christopher (Kristin) Robinson of Litchfield, Mark (Anna) Robinson of Alpine, AL, Curt (Laura) Robinson of Taylorville, Noel (Jeff) Clevenger of Chatham and Jamie Robinson of Springfield; seventeen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Donna (Tom) Faucon of Dawson and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Warren was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish at St. Patrick’s Church. He loved to fish, camp, woodwork and build birdhouses.
He retired as a Display Manager at Montgomery Wards and had worked as a welder for Weaver’s and also worked for the Springfield Park District. He graduated from Feitschans High School. He was a member of the US Army from 1960-1966.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Monday, February 18, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4pm.
Funeral Mass: 10 am, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Church with Reverend Peter Harman officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where Sangamon County Interveterans will conduct Military Honors.
