Wanda Suter

Wanda Suter, 87, of Springfield, died at 6:40 am, Thursday, June 15, 2017 at her home. She was born May 27, 1930 in Waggoner, IL, the daughter of Clyde C. Boston and Ruby O. Shoults Boston. She married Charles Kenneth Suter on October 3, 1953, at West Side Christian Church in Springfield, where they were members of the TNT Class.

Wanda graduated with honors from Litchfield High School in 1948 and was a member of Pi Rho Kappa sorority. She was a bookkeeper for McGuar Accounting until she retired; and later a bookkeeper for the Mustard Seed. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing Solitaire on the computer, watching TV game shows, reading true crime stories, and most of all spending time with her family.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Delora Boston and a brother, Robert Boston.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Ken; two daughters, Kendra (Greg) Langdon, and Lora Suter; three grandchildren, Wendi (Bill) Brincken, Elizabeth Ongman, and Garrett Nolan; great-grandchildren Halei, Jake, Jeremy and Zack Brincken, and Emma and Chloe Ongman; one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 9:30-11:30 am, Monday, June 19, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Monday, June 19, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home Springfield with Pastor Gary Winkleman officiating.

Burial will immediately follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
