SPRINGFIELD – Wanda Faye Baldwin, 73, of Springfield died at 7:17 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at St. John’s Hospice.
She was born Dec. 12, 1933, in Chesterfield, the daughter of Paul and Margaret (Randolph) Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Earnie and Malcolm Lewis.
Mrs. Baldwin, a resident of Springfield and Jacksonville for most of her life, retired as director of personnel for the Illinois Department of Conservation and Historic Preservation.
Surviving are her daughter, Bera Sue Ford of Springfield; two sisters, Pauline (husband, Raymond) Patterson of Jacksonville and Donna (husband, Jerry) Hasse of Pawnee; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at Staab Funeral Home with Melanie Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Chesterfield Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer research.
