Virginia Lee Price

Virginia “Ginny” Lee Price, 97, of Tucson, AZ formerly of Springfield, died on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at her home. She was born July 30, 1920 in Springfield, IL to Henry and Loretta (Lee) Knepler. She married Albert R. Price on February 3, 1938 and he preceded her in death on July 29, 1999.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Mary Kathryn Knepler and two daughters, Judith Price Trocke and Shirley Price Morton.

Surviving are a son, Bert Price of The Woodlands, TX; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; one sister, Henrietta Knepler of Springfield and several cousins.

Virginia graduated Sacred Heart Academy in 1937. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Tucson, AZ and Wally Byam Airstream Club.

Visitation: 10 – 10:45 am, Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Christ the King Church.

Funeral Mass: 11 am, Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Christ the King Church with Reverend Joe Ring officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
