Violet “June” Hallford

Violet “June” Hallford, 94, of Riverton, died at 12:00 am, Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Villa Healthcare East. She was born on June 12, 1923 in Riverton to Harry and Helen (Sudds) Foster. She married Ralph “Jim” Hallford in 1961 and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a step daughter, Frances.

Surviving are two nieces, Constance Felts and Mary Beth Sloper and nephew, Gregory Foster, all of Florida; several great nieces and nephews; three step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.

June was a member of the Riverton United Methodist Church. She was an avid Cubs fan. She loved animals and her pets. She has been the family matriarch for over 20 years and was always there for her family. She retired from Memorial Medical Center where she was a nursing assistant for many years.

A private family service will be held.
