Ty Patrick Ramey, 61, of Springfield, died at 11:40 am, Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at home. He was born February 12, 1955 in Springfield to William D. and Betty T. “Bunny” Carr Ramey and they preceded him in death.
He is survived by former wife, Kimbra (Tom) Summerlin of Springfield; two daughters, Ayrin (Ryan) Hintz of Springfield and Emily Ramey of Urbana, IL; grandson, Murphy Hintz; six brothers and sisters, Mark W. (Rosann) Ramey of Chatham, Greg D. Ramey of Springfield, Dana Ramey of Virden, Todd J. Ramey of El Paso, TX, Shawn (Greg) Murphy of Girard and Brittan (Brad) Bolin of Springfield and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ty was a collector of all things beautiful. He was a nature lover, a sports fanatic and a Chicago Cubs fan. Ty had a beautiful mind.
The family will host a Celebration of Life from 1-4 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Knights of Columbus, 2200 S. Meadowbrook Road, Springfield, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick School.
