SPRINGFIELD – Timothy Torch Kannady, 58, of Springfield died at 11:58 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at St. John’s Hospital.
He was born May 1, 1951, in St. Louis, the son of Robert and Naomi O’Brien Kannady.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Kannady, a resident of Illinois all of his life, was a social worker and guardian for the Guardianship and Advocacy for more than 20 years. Recently he was a driver for SMTD. He was a member of Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1249.
Surviving are his mother, Naomi Kannady of Springfield; a daughter, Regina (Brian Brown) Rempe of Clinton; son, Erin (Jane) Kannady of Springfield; three grandchildren, Vryce Kannady, McKenzie Rempe and Paislea Brown; three sisters, Ginger Kannady of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Delia (Bill) Davis of Springfield and Maureen Ree Ree Kannady of Springfield; four brothers, James Kannady of Springfield, David (Bobbi) Kannady of Bloomington, Robert C. Chris (Diana) Kannady of St. Louis and Patrick Kannady of Dunedin, FL; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home.
