Thomas “Tom” A. Kraus, 51, of Springfield, died at 4:07 pm, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born October 9, 1964 in Springfield, to William “Bill” C. and Marilyn L. Wallace Kraus, Sr.
Survivors include his parents, Bill and Marilyn Kraus of Springfield; one sister, Karen (Kevin) Geist of Riverton; two brothers, William “Bill” Kraus, Jr. and Robert “Bob” Kraus both of Springfield; two nieces, Emily Kraus and Brea Williamson; three nephews, Jacob Williamson, Christopher Kraus and Sean Pidcock; one great niece, Elaura Williamson; one uncle, Edward Kraus and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Kraus; one nephew, Billy James Kraus and his grandparents.
Tom had worked for Cast Industries, Inc. and previously for Family Video.
He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed fishing and being a handy-man.
Memorial gathering: 10 – 11:30 am, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Sacred Heart Church.
Memorial Mass: 11:30 am, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Sacred Heart Church with Reverend James Isaacson officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
