SPRINGFIELD – Thomas R. Tom Myerscough, 53, of Springfield died at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at Capitol Care Center.
He was born June 3, 1955, in Springfield, the son of Marion and Frances Taylor Myerscough.
He was a resident of Springfield most of his life. He was owner and operator of the Persian Rug Center.
He was a former member of the Illini Country Club and Sangamo Club. He was a graduate of Springfield High School and attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and was the past president of the Oriental Rug Retailers of America.
Surviving are a daughter, India M. Myerscough of Chatham; son, Reed G. Myerscough of Chatham and their mother, Ragan Myerscough of Chatham; parents, Marion Mike and Frances Fran Myerscough; sister, Sue Myerscough and husband L. Robert Mueller of Springfield; brother, Michael R. Myerscough and companion Linda Krygoski of Riverside; several aunts and uncles; two nieces; and many cousins.
Celebration of life services will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at Maldaner’s on the second floor in the reception room.
