Thomas P. Gartland, Jr. passed away at 4:20 a.m. on March 30, 2017. Thomas was a professional educator, teaching science and chemistry. He began his teaching career in the Chicago Public School System and retired from Thornridge High School in Dolton, Illinois. He also owned and operated a blueberry farm in Lake Village, Indiana. He is survived by his wife, Florine; son, Thomas; grandson, Michael and daughter-in-law, Judith.
Funeral Mass: 10 am, Monday, April 3, 2017 at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Chatham, IL with Fr. John Nolan officiating.

Iam so sad to hear, prayers for your whole family. Mr. Gartland was loved by so many of the students he taught, myself included. One of the best teachers around, he certainly impacted many of his students lives. god bless and RIP
