Thomas E. Crim, 73, of Springfield, died at 12: 27 pm, Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born March 12, 1942 in Springfield, to William and Dorthy Annuci Crim. He married Sharon Behl on November 20, 1970, and she survives. Also surviving are one son, TJ Crim of Springfield; one sister, Clara (Joe) Cooke; one brother, Bill Crim and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Thomas graduated from Lanphier High School in 1961 and entered the US Navy in 1961 and served until 1965. He was stationed on the U.S.S. Dahlgren and served during the Cuba Crisis. He joined the Springfield Fire Department in 1970 and retired from there as Captain. He was an avid bowler and has thirty-nine 300 games and several 800 series. He won titles in team, doubles and singles. He served one term as President of GSBA and was elected to the Springfield and State Bowling Hall of Fame.
Graveside Service: 1 pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, where Sangamon County Inter-Veterans Burial Detail will conduct military honors.
