Theodore “Ted” Freitag, 75, of Williamsville, died at 8:55 pm, Saturday, March 30, 2013 at St. John’s Hospice. He was born July 16, 1937 in New Berlin, to John B. and Mildred M. Winchester Freitag. He married Shirley Cobb in 1958 and she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Linda Sue (Rick) Mainwaring; one son, Richard Eugene Freitag; four grandchildren, one great grandchild; one sister, Joan Norris of Springfield; two brothers, Bernard Freitag of Sun Lakes, AZ and Richard James (Bev) Freitag of Springfield; two sisters-in-law, Rose Freitag and Linda Freitag; one brother-in-law, Donald (Frances) Cobb of Ohio and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles and Robert Freitag and one sister Gertrude Gilmore.
Ted was self employed for forty-five years as Owner/Operator of Freitag Trenching and Excavating. He was a member of Local 965 Operating Engineers. He liked watching and feeding the squirrels and birds; NASCAR and playing the slots. He was known to his family as “Pud”.
Ted requested cremation with no funeral.
