Susan Y. Roth, 52, of Springfield, died at 5:06 pm, Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born June 9, 1959 in Alton, Illinois to Walt and Darlene Beams Stinebaker. She married Kevin Roth on July 28, 1979.
Surviving are her husband, Kevin, three children, Heather (Troy) Bailey of St. Louis, Jordan (Lyndsay) Roth of Quincy and Brooke (Daniel) McCollum of Oak Park; one grandchild, Cooper Bailey; her parents Walt and Darlene Stinebaker of Springfield; one brother Marvin (Michele) Stinebaker of Riverton; father-in-law, Carl Roth of Michael; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and several great nieces and nephews.
Her grandparents and mother-in-law, Rosanna Roth preceded her in death.
Susan received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Milliken University. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Nu Pi Chapter.
Susan was a Nurse Manager at Memorial Medical Center and was a member of many nursing organizations.
She attended Western Oaks Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking, crafting and bird watching. She was a resident of Springfield for the past 4 ½ years and previously had lived in Pleasant Plains and Winchester.
Visitation: 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home. There will be a second visitation on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Western Oaks Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral.
Funeral Service: 10 a.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Western Oaks Baptist Church with Pastor Ed Ingram officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

Kevin and family - my deepest sympathies to you all over the loss of your dear wife, mother and friend. I spent many nights babysitting the kids all those years ago and know how very much you all loved her. My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time.
