Susan M. Buchanan, 71, of Springfield, IL, died at 9:39 p.m., Wednesday, December, 13, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital. She was born on March 29, 1946 in Springfield to Myron and Lola Butler Grant and they precede her in death. Also preceding Susan in death are her husband, Robert Buchanan; one sister, Patricia Ramsey; two brothers, Larry Butler and Thomas Grant; one aunt, Nellie Wilson; three uncles, Richard, James, and Nathan Butler; and one infant sister, Nancy Ann.

Surviving are one sister, Margie (Norman) Garren of Springfield; one brother, William Grant of Springfield; three aunts, Nancy Sharp, Mary Sidwell, and Minnie Hilderbrand; and several nieces and nephews.

Susan enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and playing cards.
