Susan F. Magnani

Susan F. Magnani, 95, of Springfield, died on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born in Newton, IL on May 29, 1922, the daughter of Elmer and Genevieve Rohr, and they preceded her in death. She married Renato J. (Red) Magnani in 1946, and he proceeded her in death on December 21, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Rohr, sister, Catherine Rohr-Huber, and great-grandson, Lance Crussel.

She is survived by two daughters, Sheila (Bob) Menietti of Battle Ground, IN and Renee (Dave) Miller of Auburn, four grandchildren: Jennifer (Brian) Schrof, Diane (Roger) Crussel, Jeff (Heather) Miller and Stephanie Menietti, and seven great-grandchildren: Mallory and Marley Schrof, Mason and Jack Weidner, Nicholas Crussel, and Halle and Hank Miller; sister-in-law, Lola Rohr of Newton and several nieces and nephews.

She was employed at Horace Mann Insurance as a payroll clerk and retired after 30 years of service. She was also a member of the Prop Club for many years. Susan volunteered in the past at St. Joseph’s Home, Sacred Heart Senior Citizens, Sangamon Auditorium as an usher and was the financial treasurer for Fiat-Allis retirees. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Private services will be held.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
