Sharon Jean Leach, 54 of Springfield died at 9:15 pm, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. She was born April 27, 1962 in Alexandria Bay, NY, to Robert and Janet (Hall) Kelsey.

She is survived by her children, David (Marisha) Leach, Molly (Jason Everitt) Leach and Sarah (Josh Warnick) Leach all of Springfield; father, Robert Kelsey, Sr. of Watertown, NY; four grandchildren, David, Tyler, Dean and Melody; her siblings, Robert (Joann) Kelsey, Jr. of Watertown, NY, Shirley (Tim) Kelsey Allen of Toledo, OH and Kevin (Vicci) Kelsey of Phoenix, AZ; step-siblings, Sandra (Tom) Converse and Geana (Steve) Converse, both of Watertown, NY, Monica (Tim) Campbell of La Fargeville, NY, Nicholas (Lisa) Makuch of Evans Mills, NY and Phil Makuch of Crossline, CA and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Kelsey; step-mother, Helen Kelsey; step brother, Kenneth, Makuch and one infant brother Scott Kelsey.

Sharon resided in Peoria for the past 4 years.

She had worked at several jobs, mainly as a care giver, but formerly for Fleetwood, SPARC, Help at Home and Hardee’s. Sharon rang bells for the Salvation Army, enjoyed cooking and baking, animals, sewing and making clothing for her kids. Her life was her children and grandchildren.

Visitation: 5- 7 pm Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 10 am Monday, May 30, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend John E. Nelson officiating.

Memorials may be made to Huntington’s disease Society of America.
