Sharon J. White, 59, of Riverton, died at 2:51 am, Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at her home. She was born March 1, 1957 in Springfield to Russell A. and Mary White.
Survivors include her sister, Sue (Ron) Cox of Jacksonville; two nieces, Brenna and Darcy Jo Baldwin; one nephew, Trevor Baldwin; one great niece, Bene’ Stennis and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sharon was a lifelong resident of Riverton. She retired from the State of Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services after twenty years. She was a volunteer for the Animal Protective League and fostered many animals. She enjoyed games and traveling.
Visitation: 2-4 pm, Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 10 am, Monday, February 13, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Reverend Nicole Cox, officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

My little sister, we lost you to your dad's family as a tiny girl. I only got to meet you again within the last few years and you disappeared again. My regret is that we didn't really get to know one another. My prayer is that you are truly happy. I loved you so much when we were children.
