SPRINGFIELD – Sandra G. Bryant, 67, of Springfield died at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at St. John’s Hospice.
She was born Oct. 16, 1941, in Houston, the daughter of Cecil Odell and Edith Pauline Moyers Putman. She married Carl Bryant on Nov. 7, 1964.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Putman.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Bryant of Springfield; two daughters, Meredith (Brian) Price of Tazewell, Tenn., and Alison (Mathew) Johnson of Downers Grove; a sister, Shirley Moak of Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.
Sandra was a resident of Springfield since October 2005; prior to that, she lived in O’Fallon, Mo., and in the Chicago area for 15 years. She worked at Quill Office Supply as a bookkeeper and was a homemaker. She was a member of Chatham Baptist Church.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at Chatham Baptist Church, with the Rev. Milton Bost officiating.
