Samuel L. Blasingame, 74, of Pleasant Plains, died at 10:09 pm, Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born March 9, 1943 in St. Louis, MO to Gene and Emma (McKay) Blasingame. He married Kathleen Sue Duewer on May 2, 1970, and she preceded him in death on October 18, 2002.
Survivors include a daughter, Katrina (Eric Jurgens) Blasingame of Shawano, WI and one son, Quentin Matthew (Martha Bajec) Blasingame of Newburgh, IN and a grandson, Samuel Bajec.
He was a United States Army veteran. Samuel retired from the National Park Service working at Lincoln’s Home for 23 years.
Visitation: 4 – 7 pm Monday, September 11, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 9:00 am, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
