Russell “Russ” W. Clark Ridder, 55, of Dawson died at 9:38 pm, Thursday, September 8, 2011 at his home. He was born June 29, 1956 in Waco, TX to Russell Eugene and Ernestine Grissom Clark. He married Nanci Atkinson Unterbrink on November 20, 1999 and she survives.
Also surviving is his father, Russell Eugene (Mary) Clark of Jacksonville; mother, Ernestine Grissom Howell of Loveland, CO; two sons Shane and Heath Ridder, both of Jacksonville; two sisters, Judy (Monty) Logan of Camp Point, and Brenda (Bob) Jacoby of Berthoud, CO; two brothers John (Carmen) Clark of Brighton and George Matthew (Dawn) Clark of Chatham and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He worked at the Illinois Department of Transportation as a Health and Safety Manager for 27 years.
Russ was an avid guitar player and musician. He enjoyed working in his garden, woodworking and was an artist. He loved riding his Harley.
