SPRINGFIELD – Rosemary Koskey, 75, of Springfield died at 7:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at her residence with her family at her side.
She was born Nov. 17, 1932, in Monmouth, the daughter of James B. and Grace L. Meleney Lee. She married Andrew Koskey on Oct. 13, 1962. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bill Lee.
Mrs. Koskey had been a resident of Springfield since 1950. She was a secretary for the Illinois League of Savings Institution, retiring in 1995 after 30 years of service.
She was a member of Christ the King Church and the American Business Women’s Association. She was an avid reader who loved spending time with her grandkids and vacationing with her family in Florida.
Surviving are her husband, Andrew Buckey J. Koskey of Springfield; a daughter, Lisa (husband, Mark) Garst of Springfield; a son, Michael (wife, Cathy) Koskey of Springfield; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Katelyn and Molly Koskey and Matthew and Thomas Garst; two sisters, Juanita (husband, Howard) O’Hern of Sarasota, Fla., and Doris Woodward of Springfield; a brother, David (wife, Mary) Lee of Monmouth; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at Christ the King Church with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
