SPRINGFIELD – Rose Mary Lauher, 83, a resident of Springfield for all of her life, died at 4:03 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008, at St. John’s Hospital.
She was born July 14, 1924, in Springfield, the daughter of Elmer and Anna Wolfe Smith. She married Fred Lauher Aug. 25, 1943.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Mrs. Lauher retired from the Illinois Department of Revenue. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish at Sacred Heart Church.
Surviving are her husband, Fred; a daughter, Sharon (companion, Gene Thompson) Garrison of Springfield; a son, Allan (wife, Linda) Lauher of Tovey; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Christopher House officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
