LINCOLN – Rosa Julie Wade, 84, of Lincoln died at 2:50 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at her daughter’s residence in Springfield.
She was born Feb. 5, 1926, in Vienna, Austria, the daughter of Rudolph and Rosa Helmer Kazda. She married Franklin Benjamin Wade on Sept. 2, 1948.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 20, 1995.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Don (Renate) Federking of Manito, IL, and Mrs. Ron (Ruth) Crumpler of Springfield, IL; two sons, Frank B. (Brenda) Wade, Jr. of Mount Pulaski, IL, and Larry D. (Trish) Wade of Glenarm, IL; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Kroger, Lincoln Theatre and the bottle factory in Lincoln.
She was a member of The Oasis Senior Center in Lincoln. She received her beautician license from Lincoln School of Beauty Culture.
Private funeral services were held.
Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
The family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
