Robert Michael “Mike” Fay, 43, of Pawnee, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He was born April 28, 1979, in Joliet, the son of Robert W. Fay and Beverly (Bliss) Anderson.
He is survived by his parents, Robert of Springfield and Beverly of Pawnee; sister, Lisa (Dan) Seaway of Bloomington; stepfather, Bruce Anderson of Pawnee; stepsister, Robyn (William) Powell of Sherman; stepbrother, Adam (Leigh Ann) Anderson of Sherman; two aunts; nephew, Devon Daley; three step-nieces, Lizzy Powell, Lana Anderson and Jules Anderson; two step-nephews, Luke and Will Powell; several cousins; and three beloved dogs, Chance, Callie and Maggie.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Frances Bliss and Don and Roselyn Fay.
Mike was a resident of Pawnee all his life and graduated from Pawnee High School, where he played basketball and football. He was a driver for UPS for over 20 years. Mike enjoyed weightlifting and fishing. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears. He will be remembered for his extreme generosity and huge heart, who would give the shirt off his back if you needed it.
Memorial Gathering: 1 – 2 pm, Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Pawnee United Methodist Church.
Memorial Service: 2 pm, Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Pawnee United Methodist Church with Pastor Bobby Davis officiating.
