Robert Edward Wiltshire, 69, of Springfield, died at 10:10 am, Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born February 16, 1942 in Springfield, to Robert Hugh and Olsie Fee Wiltshire.
His parents precede him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Mechelle (boyfriend: Bill Evans) Clark and Renee Wiltshire both of Springfield; one son, Ken (Trish) Wiltshire of Springfield and their mother, Darlene Wiltshire of Rochester; two step-daughters Jody (Joe Rusciolelli) Brown of Riverton and Leslie (Jim) Greyson of Springfield and their mother, Judy McGinnis of Springfield; nine grandchildren; one aunt, Bea Fee of Springfield; several cousins and his Min Pin, Max.
Robert was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1961-1965 during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Navy Club Ship #32, where he was past commander. He was also a member of the VFW Post 10302 and the DAV Club. He enjoyed working on and repairing electronics. He played the accordion and liked to dance.
He worked for Xerox as a technician for many years.
Visitation: 5-7 pm, Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 12 pm, Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Staab Funeral with Robert Green officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Sangamon County Interveterans Burial Detail.
