Robert “Bubbles” Wolf, 79, of Riverton died at 12:30 pm, Monday, September 4, 2017 at his home. He was born October 24, 1937 in Springfield, to James and Helen (Komyathy) Wolf, Sr.
Survivors include two daughters, Michele (Marvin) Stinebaker of Riverton and Brenda Taylor of Springfield; three grandchildren, Justin (Jennifer) Eyer, Corey Eyer and Jessica Eyer; two great grandchildren, Charlie & Nathan and two sisters, Delores Bristow and Mary Lou (Henry) Smith both of Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jim Wolf, Jr. and Dave Wolf and one sister, Betty Bates.
He was a veteran of the US Army and was a member of St. Aloysius Church; Knights of Columbus #4175 and Joe’s Slovak Club. He was an avid golfer and CUBS fan and enjoyed NASCAR. He worked as an electrician for IBEW Local #193 and retired in 1999.
Visitation: 5-7 pm, Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with a prayer service at 5 pm. An additional visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 am, Thursday, September 7, 2017 at St. Aloysius Church.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Thursday, September 7, 2017 at St. Aloysius Church. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
