– Richard P. Rick Falzone, 71, of Rochester died at 9:41 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born March 19, 1938, in Springfield, the son of Armand Pat and Lucille Fazi Falzone. He married Mary J. Plotch on Sept. 9, 1998.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Mary J. Falzone of Rochester; a daughter, Joy (Jack) Raime; a son, Richard L. Falzone; two stepdaughters, Sara and Rebecca Helton; two grandchildren; a step-grandchild; and several cousins.
Rick was raised in Springfield and then lived in California for 44 years before returning to Springfield in June 1998. He owned and managed many businesses while in California. He retired from San Jose Harley Davidson which he owned and operated until 1993.
Rick was a member of St. Cabrini Church, Land of Lincoln Barber Shop Chorus, Ambassador’s of Harmony 2004 Gold Medal Champion Chorus, numerous quartets including the Saturday Matinee Comedy Quartet. He enjoyed camping, traveling and Barbershop music. He obtained his private pilot’s license and he had a great love of pets. He was a graduate of Lanphier High School and Bradley University. He was a very talented and hardworking man with a wonderful sense of humor.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral Mass at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at St. Cabrini Church, with the Rev. Peter Harman officiating. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
