Rene’ Philomena Brawner, 60, of Springfield, died at 4:55 am, Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born August 7, 1955 in Evansville, IN, to Joseph and Barbara Maxine Gray Hartley. She married Charles Brawner on May 18, 1973 and he survives.

Also surviving are her children, Vincent (Nancy) Brawner and Eric Brawner both of Springfield; three grandchildren, Cheyenne Brawner, Lucas Runyon and Zackery Allgire; eight brothers and sisters, Barbara George of Hillsboro, OH, Mary (Ed) Gianola of Henderson, NV, Gloria (Rick) Carney of Las Vegas, NV, Jo (Dick) Thomas of Orlando, FL, Joe Hartley of Pacific, MO, Kathy (Eric) Johnson of Springfield, Dawn (Charlie) VanMeter of Athens and Leslie Crain of Gray Summitt, MO; her dear friends, Damien & Shylo Rich and their children, Gage and Rylan and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother.
Rene’ loved playing BINGO, listening to Led Zeppelin and spending time with her grandchildren. She worked for Dickey John Corporation for fourteen years in Assembly.

Visitation: 5-7 pm, Monday, October 12, 2015 at Staab Funeral Home.

Graveside Service: 10 am, Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Roselawn Memorial Park with Charlie VanMeter officiating.

Due to her love of animals memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
