Ralph L. Nolting, Sr., 57, of Springfield, IL died at 6:35 pm, Friday, August 10, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born October 11, 1954 in Springfield to Ernest D. and Edith Lorene Pratt Nolting. He married Michelle Banta on November 19, 2007. His father preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle; three daughters, Kendra (Kyle) Daniels of Springfield, Pennie Miscavich of Alaska and Danielle Nolting of Springfield; five sons, Robert (Teresa) Nolting, Eric Nolting, Kevin (Heather) Nolting and Ralph Nolting, Jr all of Springfield and Adam (Miedy) Bishop of San Diego, CA; 19 grandchildren; his mother, Edith L. Nolting of Springfield; two brothers, Allen (Cindy) Nolting of Springfield and Kenneth (Jan) Nolting of Clinton, IL and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ralph was a member of Springfield Southern Baptist Church. He loved fishing and hunting, especially mushrooms. He enjoyed sports and wrestling was his passion. Ralph loved his cats.
He was a cook at Bernie & Betty’s and several other Springfield Restaurants. Ralph had also worked for the City of Springfield Street Department and Fiat Allis.
Visitation: 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Keppler officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, IL.
