Ralph Edward Carter

Ralph Edward Carter, 72, of Springfield, died at 10:02 pm, Monday, July 25, 2016 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born September 14, 1943 in Springfield, to Erdie Fonzo and Georgiann Tucker Carter. He married Alberta Fornoff in 1963 and she survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Julie (Christopher) Jackson of Springfield; one granddaughter, Kayleigh Jean Jackson; one sister, Carolyn Conkle of Worth, IL, granddog, Bella and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Fowler McFall.

Ralph retired in 2010 from Memorial Medical Center where he worked in Environmental Services.

He was a member of Kumler United Methodist Church. He loved wood working, quilting, spending time with his granddaughter, dog sitting, knitting and all crafts.

Private family service will be held.
