Phyllis E. Long, 83, of Chatham, died at 11:52 am, Thursday, August 25, 2016 at her home. She was born June 21, 1933 in Riverton, to Sylvester and Hazel Searcy Long.
She is survived by friends, Richard, Jerra, and Brandon Nuss, and loved her helpful neighbors, Brenda and Mike Summerville and Tom, Stacey and Zach Busby.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Phyllis was a member of Chatham Christian Church and Springfield Garden Club. She loved her flowers and garden and her favorite holiday was Christmas.
She worked for Horace Mann for forty-three years.
Graveside Service: 1 pm, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Roselawn Memorial Park with Pastor Rick Wenneborg officiating.
