Pearl P. Petschauer, 94, of Springfield, died at 12:40 pm, Sunday, March 31, 2013 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born August 24, 1918 in Illiopolis, to John “Jim” C. and Jessie B. Bequeaith Ealey. She married Louis Petschauer on August 30, 1937 and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1997.
Her parents; one sister, Ruby Ealey; three brothers, Clarence, Paul (her twin) and John Ealey also preceded her in death.
Survivors include four daughters, Joyce Kaehler of Springfield, Judith Graham of Indianapolis, IN, Mary Ann Scheib of Springfield and Carolyn (Larry) Moore of Springfield; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pearl was a charter member of Wesley United Methodist Church and was a former member of the Eagles Auxiliary Aerie 437 and Home Extension of Mary Todd. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She worked for Springfield Public School District 186 as a cook for seventeen years, retiring in 1973.
Visitation: 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, April 5, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Staab Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Illinois Presbyterian Home.
