Pauline I. Wagner, 97, of Springfield, died at 8:47 pm, Saturday, May 10, 2014 at her daughter’s home. She was born March 18, 1917 in Sioux Falls, SD, the daughter of Stella and Lester Morris. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Bill and Walter Morris and a sister, Mary Bryant and her husbands, John E. Kennedy, Albert Evans, Kenneth Yocom and Robert G. Wagner.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Brachear Daniels of Cantrall; two sons, John D. Kennedy (wife, Doris) of Port Charlotte, FL and Albert O. Evans, Jr. (companion, Mary Woods) of Springfield; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; one brother, Dan Morris of Longmont, CO; one sister-in-law, Mary Morris of Des Moines, IA and several nieces and nephews.
Pauline owned and operated The Modern Trend Beauty Salons in Springfield and volunteered at St. Joseph’s Home for 23 years as well as working there part time as a receptionist. She attended West Side Christian Church. Her passion was her work and the wonderful friends and employees she shared so much with.
The family wishes to extend their everlasting gratitude to Kathy Campbell, Pam Kennedy, Alex Means and Maria Edwards for being the best “adopted daughters” Pauline could have asked for.
Visitation: 12 – 1 pm Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home
Funeral Service: 1 pm Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home with Eugene Lamport officiating. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
