SPRINGFIELD – Paul C. Falzone, 77, of Springfield died at 12:21 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, 2009, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 27, 1932, in Springfield, the son of Louis and Virginia Burris Falzone. He married Patricia A. McMurray on December 18, 1954.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Pat Falzone; two daughters, Paula Whitehead and Pam (husband, Marc) Swiney, both of Springfield; two grandchildren, Amber and Brandy Whitehead of Springfield; four brothers, Louis Jr. (wife, Mary), Sam (wife, Bonnie), and Bob (wife, Sharon), all of Springfield, and John (wife, Penny) of Greenview; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul was a resident of Springfield for most of his life. He worked for Weavers Manufacturing for 13 years, then worked at Fiat-Allis and retired from Precision Products as an assembly line foreman. He was a member of Real Life Church. Paul was a commercial fisherman and enjoyed deer hunting. He was an Army veteran and served during the Korean Era.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 10 am Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at Camp Butler National Cemetery, with Clint Cook officiating and military honors conducted by Sangamon County Interveterans Burial Detail.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
