SPRINGFIELD – Patricia Pat A. Howlett, 64, of Springfield, formerly of Oklahoma, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at her home.
She was born Nov. 14, 1945, in Alton, the daughter of Emmett and Betty Jean Madison Suter. She married Victor Howlett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Donna Ferguson; and an infant daughter, Victoria.
She is survived by her husband, Victor Vic B. Howlett; two daughters, Michelle (Dan) Chapman of Springfield and Bobbie (Kenneth Tex) Brandon of Riverton; three sons, Edward (Tammy) Ware of Athens, Vic Howlett of Moberly, Mo., and Kevin Howlett of Macon, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild on the way; three sisters, Barb Verardi of Springfield, Marilyn Hickey of Loami and Lee Goodman of Waverly; four brothers, Mike Suter of Springfield, Danny (Margaret) Suter of Cantrall, Jeff (Pam) Phillips of Atlanta and Randy (Michelle) Phillips of Sherman; an aunt, Gail Peters; an uncle, Butch Howlett; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Prior to being a homemaker, Pat worked as a produce manager for several grocery stores.
She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and going to garage sales.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
