SPRINGFIELD, IL- Oscar L. Muchow, 84, passed away at 7:20 pm Saturday, September 17, 2016 at his home. He was born March 6, 1932 in Altamont, IL to John and Alma (Bandelow) Muchow. He married Wilma M. Cross on August 27, 1951 and she preceded him in death on September 29, 1997. He married Twila Clark on April 7, 2005 and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Gail (Randy) Stephens of Litchfield and Vicki Jones of Springfield; one son, Duane (Sally) Muchow of Springfield; one step-daughter, Andrea Clark of Tinley Park; one step-son Greg Clark of Springfield; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one on the way; one brother, Vic (Jeannine) Muchow of Springfield; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Muchow of Lincoln and Marilyn Womack of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Also preceding him in death are his parents, one sister, Florence Duckwitz, and one brother, Paul Muchow.
Oscar owned Concrete Contractor’s Inc. and was an owner of Laketown Phillip 66 Station in the late 50’s with his brother Vic.
He never met a stranger he didn’t like and will be missed dearly by all.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield.
Funeral Service: 10 am Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home- Springfield with Reverend Michael A. Koschmann officiating. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg cemetery.

Besides being a dear friend, I know I can say this and everyone will agree, If you ever worked for or with Oscar there was some thing about him that you always wanted to do your very very best for him.
