Nora Kay Fuchs, 55, of Springfield, passed away at 4:28 pm, Friday, August 25, 2017 at her home. She was born August 15, 1962 in Okinawa, Japan to Samuel and Darlene Simpson Carrier.

Survivors include her mother, Darlene L. Carrier of Springfield; one brother, Brian Carrier of Springfield; one nephew, Blake (Catherine) Carrier of Collinsville; one niece, Brandi Carrier of Springfield; one step niece, Amber (Bensie) Henderson of Murfreesboro, TN; one great niece, Evelyn Carrier and former husband, Robin Fuchs of Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her father and sister-in-law, Teresa Carrier.

Nora was a member of Little Flower Church. She was past president of the Laketown Homeowners Association where she served for many years and a volunteer patient liaison to the local Oncology Nursing Society. She was an avid collector of Teddy Bears. She was part owner of The Mail Room and No Ties.

Visitation: 9 – 10:30 am, Friday, September 1, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 10:30 am, Friday, September 1, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend Allen Kemme officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Little Flower Church.
