Nicholas J. Viola, 55, of Sherman, passed away at 3:45 am, on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Symphony of Decatur. He was born on September 26, 1961 in Springfield, to Orlando “Bucky” and Marie Viola, and they preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sister, Verna Holder (George) of Sherman and brother, Vincent Viola of Lehigh Acres, FL; one niece, one nephew and one great niece.
Nicholas was a life-long resident of Sherman and was the owner of Nick’s Bar in Sherman.
Visitation: 10 am – 12 pm, Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home -Springfield.
Funeral Service: 12 pm, Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home -Springfield with Reverend Braden Maher officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Sorry about Nicks passing. Way too young to leave us. His mother & I were pregnant at the same time. It was kind of a contest to see who would deliver first. That's how it was in original Sherman, we were all family. The kids all grew up together. We will miss a part of our family
