Nancy Lee Achilles

Nancy Lee Achilles, 81 of Chatham, died on Thursday, “December 1, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born July 7, 1935 in Oakland, CA to Robert Lee and Margaret Bode Hanni. She married Donald E. Achilles, Sr. in February 1962 and he preceded her in death on December 25, 2001.

Survivors include two daughters, Celeste Feldhausen of Peoria and Rhonda (William) Sturm of Springfield; two sons, Billy Futch of Sacramento and Donald E. Achilles, Jr. of Springfield; two granddaughters, Brittney (Matt) Hudacek and Amy (Jared) Rickord; one sister, Mary Lou Shaffer of Medford, OR and one brother, Donald R. Hanni of Sebastopol CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Nancy was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chatham. She worked as a seamstress for Hub Clothiers and Robert’s Brothers.

She loved her family and especially spending time with her granddaughters. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and was an avid reader.

Visitation: 9-10 am, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 10 am, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Thomas Radtke officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Cemetery.
