Nancy Jean Harbour, 71, of North Fort Myers, FL formerly of Springfield, IL died Friday October 14, 2022 in Florida. She was born September 21, 1951 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of John Francis and Eleanor Katherine (Curry) Ingram. She married John H. Harbour, Jr on October 4, 1969 in Springfield, IL at Third Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband, John of North Fort Myers, Florida; four daughters, Denise (Matthew) Maitret of Venice, FL, Anna (Robert) Kavish of Auburn, IL, Jamie (Johnie Jr.) West of Virden, IL and Samantha (Kevin) Simnick of Monticello, IL; ten grandchildren, Justin West, Dylan Kavish, Emily Maitret, Logan Kavish, Kaitlyn Maitret, Alyson Maitret, Joshua Simnick, Taylor Simnick, Jersey West and Kai Maitret; three siblings, William (Marcie) Ingram of Woodbury, MN, Phyllis Ingram of Springfield, IL and Linda (Rick) Ray of North Ft. Myers, FL; a sister-in-law Karen Ingram of Riverton, IL; sister-in-law Lou Ann (Robert) Way of Corsicana, TX; brother-in-law Mike (Diann) Harbour of Springfield, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her infant son; her parents; her brother, John Ingram, her sister-in-law, Linda Hammond, her brother-in-law, Les Hammond, nephew, Brian Way and her fur baby, Yadi.

Nancy attended West Side Christian Church in Springfield. She retired from the State of Illinois Department of Human Services after 25 years of service.
She had a love for all sports, was an avid golfer and celebrated 2 hole in ones. She played in many golf leagues. She loved Cardinal baseball. She also enjoyed playing bocce ball, pickle ball, softball, as well as coaching softball, along with countless number of yard games, board games, cards and dice with family and friends. She had a love for gambling and enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas. Nancy was very competitive, and this was well known by anyone playing with or against her. Nancy was a life member of the Aqua Sports Club and an active member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary #158. After retirement Nancy worked seasonally at Universal Studio’s for 10 years. Nancy volunteered at the Arnold Palmer Classic for 5 years and LPGA classic at the Rail in
Springfield for 30 years. She was blessed to be retired for 21 years to enjoy traveling and taking cruises with her friends and family. Nancy enjoyed and adored her 10 grandchildren to the fullest.

Visitation: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm, Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 12:30 pm, Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Following the burial friends and family are invited to the Aqua Sports Club to celebrate Nancy’s life.
