MASON CITY – Nancy H. Croteau, 67, of Mason City, formerly of Springfield, died at 10:32 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at her residence.
She was born July 4, 1942, in Springfield, the daughter of Raymond and Helen Bridge Robson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and former husband, Richard L. Long.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Croteau of Mason City and Dr. Amanda Baldwin of Wheaton; a son, James Long of Mason City; five grandchildren; a sister, Betty (Leland) Legg of Springfield; an aunt and uncle; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nancy was a resident of Mason City since 1974. She was employed as a beautician at Louise’s Beauty Shop for 13 years. She also worked at Knoles Flowers before owning and operating All Occasions Flowers and Gifts in Mason City.
Nancy was a member of St. Columbus Catholic Church. She was a Eucharistic minister and served as treasurer of Altar and Rosary Society. She also taught Catechism.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Christopher House officiating. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
