Miranda Jean Wilkins, 42, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born September 30, 1979, in Springfield, the daughter of Charles “Chuck” E. and Royna “Kris” Johnson Wilkins and they preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughter, Vida Wilkins; stepdaughter, Grace Randall; aunts, Dianne (Mark) Degroot of Springfield, Dawn Wilkins of Mississippi and Melissa Johnson of Nashville, TN; great-aunt, Doris Roney of Indiana; uncles, Neil (Sandi) Johnson and Mark (Judy) Johnson, both of Nashville, TN; and several cousins.
Miranda lived in Springfield most of her life and graduated from Lanphier High School. She was a devoted mother and loved to be around family and friends. She had an extended family she called her own, as well as many close friends that doubled as siblings throughout her life. She loved to cook and had a very special way to elevate every dish she prepared, with love. She was a manager at Smokey Bones for many years where she made many friends with both the employees and customers.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
